About Tadoba National Park

What is Tadoba?

Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of Maharashtra's oldest and largest tiger reserves, spread across roughly 3,750 sq. km in the Chandrapur district. It's one of the best places in India to see a wild tiger, alongside leopards, sloth bears, Indian bison, deer, and rich birdlife. The park has 19 entry gates and sits about 155 km from Nagpur, the nearest airport.

Best Time to Visit

November–March: Cool, pleasant weather — the most comfortable time to visit.
April–June: Hot, but tigers gather near waterholes, often making sightings easier.
October: Humid; an air-conditioned stay is recommended.
July–September (Monsoon): Park access can be limited.

Chances of Seeing a Tiger

Tadoba has one of the highest tiger-sighting rates in India — many visitors see one. That said, this is a wild forest, not a zoo, so sightings always involve a bit of luck. What we can guarantee is an experienced guide, a good vehicle, and a beautiful few days in the jungle either way.

Good to Know Before You Go

Safari permits are limited and must be booked well in advance — Aadhar/ID details are required for each guest.
Alcohol is not permitted in Chandrapur district.
There are no ATMs in Tadoba — carry enough cash from Nagpur.
Mobile network is limited; only Jio works reliably near Moharli.
Children of all ages are welcome on safari.
